Happy 6 years....

Once upon a time, there were these two cute kids who both loved to get into trouble and try crazy things.  One day, many years later this boy and this girl met each other at the beach.  A few months after meeting and dating other people, they decided to hang out.  A couple days later this boy asked this girl to go on a date with him.  This girl said yes.  It was a Wednesday...pizza and a movie, Charly to be exact.  Then, they went on another date the very next evening and the next and the next...pretty soon, they couldn't stand being apart and decided together that they were the happiest when they were with each other.  A couple months later, I love yous were exchanged and a couple months after that a ring was given to the girl.  113 days after they swore to be together forever, they were sealed in the Oakland Temple for Time and All Eternity.  It's pretty much a fairytale, I tell you.  Sure, they've had their fair share of heartaches--countless broken cars, loosing a parent, financial struggles, personal weakness to overcome...

Oh, but oh the good times they have shared, the good things that make your heart sing...Looking at the stars on the roof top of their house on Swan Dr. after the kids have gone to bed, giggling together because that's basically all you can do when you are too exhausted for words at 11pm....Meeting your child for the first time and smelling their sweet skin as we look at each other--there just aren't worded needed to feel the profound and intimate love shared together.....The endless smiles, looks, and compliments exchanged, cheering each other on while climbing the ladder of our personal dreams and desires...learning lessons together and discovering what truly makes us happy...seeing each other shine at each others love for fishing and photography....On our knees pleading together to our Heavenly Father to feel His love and patience with us during those quiet moments of the evening.

Six years has brought all of this, imagine what lies over the next 60 years:)  I have a few words to say to this little boy in the picture. 

Simply, you make me sparkle, shine, and want to be the very best version of me.  You are my light, my comfort, the very essence of my purpose here on this earth.  I love you...all of you.  Thank you, for loving me, for believing in me, and for sharing who you are with me.  I am honored to know you.  I have a feeling that year six is going to be a great one for us:)
